Presentation

The worlds of Marielle Paul, Esben Klemann and Marlon Wobst come together not in the formal similarity of their practices, but in their desire to confront and show movement and immobility, crowded and quiet, fullness and emptiness.

All in contrast, then, like human beings who structure as much as they destroy, who build in order to better deconstruct, and who like to understand while believing in the irrational.

The theme Moving Worlds, which in French has the double meaning of “Mondes émouvant” (touching world) and “Mondes en mouvement” (world in motion), brings three sensibilities face to face: the playful and conceptual work of sculptor Esben Klemann focuses on these same forces – between tectonic powers and microscopic minimalism. Marlon Wobst offers tender and touching sketches of contemporary human life and the hustle and bustle that characterises it. Finally, Marielle Paul offers us abstract and figurative painted poems that combine fragments of nature and human creations.
